Evening Bistro: HOW IT WORKS: La Cigale French Bistro has a casual, relaxed atmosphere – great for families and friends to share a meal together. We can take tables of one or two, right up to groups of 40-50 during our regular dining evenings. Each night we offer one entrée, a choice of two main courses, a choice of two desserts, a great French cheese trolley and coffee or tea. All main courses need to be preordered before your booked date. Meals and accompaniments are served in the middle of the table in large bowls and platters, which means it’s always a good idea to order a mixture of both mains so everyone gets a try. You can choose whether to have the entrée, dessert and cheese when you are here. Vegetarian meals are available and we do our best to cater for any special dietary requests if they are made prior to the evening. Our delicious food is served in large bowls and on platters allowing you to plate your own food and to mix and match from the evening’s selection of mains, side dishes and desserts. Our café is open every day serving great coffee, a wide selection of counter food, several salads and plats du jour. During the weekend brunch is served. Interesting dining experience as we were not offered menu on site, but had to call and inform them if we wanted chicken, fish or vegetarian etc during booking, and then wait for surprises. Overall the food is great, and I find it exciting to dine in a place with all those exotic groceries and wines surrounding us. Quite an experience. I think this place is more suitable for large groups as you will need to book before coming anyway.
